The lowest possible number of strokes on a hole from the tee to the green. It doesn’t matter if it’s a 200-meter shot or a 2-cm putt, it’s always one stroke (point). The fewer strokes, the better the result.

The place where the game begins.

The area around the hole, with a special type of grass, where the ball is usually played into the hole with a putter.

Sportswear, sturdy sports shoes with flat soles.

You don’t need to be a club member to start playing golf; you can visit the driving range without a “Green Card.”

Hitting one basket of balls (48 pieces, it’s up to you how many you feel like) while concentrating on each shot with warm-up and instruction for about half an hour.

In the middle between three towns: Poprad, Kežmarok, and Tatranská Lomnica.

By completing golf school, mastering long and short game, green play, and golf rules and etiquette, and passing the exam, you will receive a green card certificate. With this, you can play on the course that issued it to you after paying the green fee. If you want to take the game more seriously, keep a handicap, and participate in tournaments, you must, according to the valid rules of the SKGA (the highest authority of the Slovak golf community), join one of the clubs or the Association of Non-Club Golfers (AMG).

All you need is 12 hours with a trainer, plus plenty of time for independent training and studying the rules. The exam takes only 3 hours.

By paying an annual membership fee, members can play without additional charges, receive discounts on balls at the driving range, and have access to areas of the club reserved for club members. The club offers its members reciprocal discounts with other clubs in Slovakia and abroad. The parent club manages its members’ HCP through a central online registry and registration with the SKGA.
