Golf course

The Black Stork golf course in Veľká Lomnica has a unique location on its southern side in the protected zone of the Tatra National Park, covering an area of ​​120 hectares. It offers fabulous views of the panorama of the High and Belianske Tatras. The second nine also opens up the panorama of the Low Tatras, Kráľova hola, or Slovak Paradise… The course is relatively flat and has a lot of water and a system of lakes and passes over the Skalnatý stream (from Skalnatý pleso).

Currently, there is a 27-hole golf course (3 combinations of courses – Taylor & Braid, Braid & Vardon, Taylor & Vardon), a 350m long indoor driving range, a chipping area (4 x green), 2x putting green, golf equipment rental, a golf equipment shop, a golf simulator in the International Hotel

HCP 9. There are bunkers on the right side of the fairway and a water hazard on the left. The green is surrounded by water on the right and left sides.

HCP 5 has a wide fairway and from the men’s tees you play over the lake. Fairway bunkers are located in the landing area on the right. There are large sand bunkers to the right and left of the green. The green is sloped.

HCP 7, there is an out zone and dense rough with sand bunkers on the edge on the entire right side, there are water hazards in the landing zones on the left side, there is a large sand bunker on the left side of the green, and there is an asphalt road about 20 m behind the green as the boundary of the course. The green slopes downwards from the back to the front.

HCP 3, there is a stream in front of the women’s tees, the tee shot from the men’s tees is made difficult by trees on both sides, there are water hazards on the right and left sides, where the right side is also environmentally sensitive land with no entry, on the left side of the green and below it there are sand bunkers, and similarly on the right side there is a sand bunker.

HCP 15. Average par 4 complicated by a water hazard along the entire right side, with a series of water hazards and sand bunkers on the left side, ending with a sand bunker on the left side in front of the green. Behind the green, the course boundary is approximately 30 m away. Slightly sloped from back to front and downwards.

Length: 380 m

Right dogleg HCP 1, with woods on the right, sand bunker on the left in the landing zone, followed by a water hazard along the entire length to the break point (approx. 260 m), approx. 120 m from the break point to the green, right, left, and rear parts of the green lined with sand bunkers, approx. 20 m behind the green dense rough and road. The slope is from right to left and downwards.

Right dogleg HCP 9, with an environmental area on the right side of the landing zone behind sand bunkers, two bunkers in the landing zone in the middle of the fairway, behind the break on the right and left sides of the lake, behind them a tree island in the middle and behind it a stream in front of the green. The green is lined with sand bunkers, behind the green there is a road approx. 50 m long as the boundary of the course.

A slightly left-curving par 5 hole with a handicap of 12, it has an out-of-bounds zone along the entire left side up to the green, with a transverse water hazard and trees in the middle, sand bunkers on the left side and next to the green on the left. The green is heavily undulating in the middle.

Length: 209 m

An average par 3 with a handicap of 10, there is a large sand bunker to the right of the green and a lake behind it. The green slopes down from right to left and slopes dangerously towards the water at the back.

A very difficult 4-par with HCP 2, bordered on both sides by an out zone. On the right side, the out zone separates holes 12 and 13 at a distance of approximately 280 m. there is a lake on the left in the landing area, a crosswater hazard in the middle and a sand bunker on the right, behind the crosswater hazard there are three more bunkers and in front of the green there are two more, one large and one small, behind the green approx. 10 m, a lateral water hazard. The green is undulating in the middle, creating two terraces.

Scoring hole, easier 4-par HCP 16, sand bunkers on the left side and in the middle of the fairway in the landing zone, large bunker to the left of the green and a lake behind the green, green slopes downwards from back to front. The green is quite difficult.

A difficult par 4 with a handicap of 4, with a large sand bunker in the landing zone from the center to the left and two larger lakes behind it on the right, a small sand bunker in front of the green, a road behind the green, and dense vegetation approx. 20 m away. The green is divided in half by a wave into left and right sections.

A classic par 3 with a HCP of 16, it has a small fairway on the left side and many water hazards in front of and behind the green, an almost island green that is situated across the fairway, so there is not much room for the ball to roll, and there is a lateral water hazard along the entire left side. The green slopes downwards from back to front.

A long par 5 with a handicap of 12, with a forest on the entire left side as a lateral water hazard, three sand bunkers on the right side, and a large bunker about 100 meters from the green on the right, opposite a small lake. The green is long and slightly undulating in the middle, with a sand bunker to its left.

Par 4 scoring hole, HCP 18, on the left side approx. 200 m away is a forest as a lateral water hazard, in front of the landing zone in the middle is tall tree cover, which has open space without cover on the fairway. The green is divided in half by a wave into two terraces with a slope from left to right downwards.

A difficult par 4, HCP 8, with a gully on the left side as a lateral water hazard and dense rough, the landing zone narrowed by forest vegetation on the right side, a stream as a lateral water hazard approx. 30 m before the green, and a sand bunker just before the green. The green is situated across and slopes downwards from the upper edge to the lower edge, with a terrain wave behind the green in one third and a road on the right side of the green as the boundary of the course.

Short par 4, with an out-of-bounds area on the left separating the par 3 academy in the middle of the fairway from two sand bunkers, and a sand bunker to the left of the green. The green slopes upward from front to back and downward from left to right, with rough bordering the fairway of hole 9 on the right.

A challenging par 4 narrowing into a funnel towards the green on the entire left side is out to a distance of approx. 290 m. on the right side there is a forest as a lateral water hazard, on the left side of the fairway in the landing zone there is a sand bunker, in front of the green there is a stream approx. 10 m long as a water hazard, behind the green there is a lake and forest as a biozone with no entry. The green slopes towards its center.

A difficult par 5 with a narrow start, an out-of-bounds area along the entire left side, a wavy, narrow fairway, and sand bunkers on both sides in front of and next to the green. The green slopes downwards from back to front.

The island green, a par 3 hole in the middle between the fairways, has a gully as a lateral water hazard. The green is on an island with sand bunkers on both sides at the front. The green slopes downwards from back to front.

A wide par 4 hole, with trees on the right side forming a lateral water hazard, water hazard on the left side of hole no. 4, one large bunker on the right side of the landing zone and four smaller bunkers in front of the green, several bunkers on the left side of the landing zone in front of the green, and a sand bunker on the left side of the green.

A long par 5 hole, with vegetation on the entire right side as lateral water, an out of bounds area on the left side as the boundary between courses B and C, two-thirds of the hole approx. 160 m from the green on both sides of the lake, approx. 80 m from them on the right side is a series of 5 sand bunkers (ground under repair), to the right of the green is a large and smaller sand bunker, behind the green approx. 20 m is lateral water. The green in the middle is heavily undulating.

A wide par 4 hole, tee shot over a ditch that runs along the entire right side of the fairway as a lateral water hazard, on the left side there is a natural rough as a lateral water hazard, to the left in front of and behind the green there is a sand bunker, and behind the green, approx. 30 m away, there is the lake of the 4th hole.

The entire hole is surrounded by water on the sides, there is a lake in front of the green marked as a biozone with no entry, and there is a tall tree to the right of the green. The green slopes steeply from back to front.

A left-turning par 4 hole with two bunkers on the right and left sides of the landing zone, forest cover on the entire left side as lateral water, there are two bunkers on the right side in front of the green and next to it, and one bunker on the left side next to the green. Behind the green, there is an approx. 30 m out zone separating the putting green. The green slopes from right to left.

The par of the course is 72+36 with a classic set of holes par 3, 4 and 5. Currently you can play 3 combinations, Taylor & Braid (the length of the course from the yellow tee markers is 5,805 meters, from the red ones 4,909 meters), Braid & Vardon (the length of the course from the yellow stones is 5,539 meters, from the red ones 4,638 meters), Taylor & Vardon (the length of the course from the yellow stones is 5,650 meters, from the red ones 4,769 meters).

The golf course with an area of ​​120 hectares has 8 bridges, 13 bridges, 15 lakes and 5,000 planted trees of various species (pines, spruces, birches, firs and alders) in the TANAP protection zone. The largest and deepest pond is also an irrigation reservoir with an area of ​​4,000 m2 and a depth of 4 m.

The longest hole is No. 10 (par 5) on the Braid course, with 485 m from the black tees. The shortest hole is No. 15 (par 3), on the Braid course, with 129 m from the black tees. The most difficult hole is No. 8 (par 4) on the Taylor course, on the Braid course it is No. 12 (par 4) and on the back nine Vardon the most difficult hole is No. 24 (par 5). An interesting hole is No. 22 on the Vardon course, which has an island green.
